Real Shot 2017sihh Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph

At this year’s SIHH Geneva watch exhibition, Audemars Piguet introduced 7 new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronographs. Four of these versions are rose gold models and include a chain and belt. 3 stainless steel versions, all stainless steel models use metal chain belts, no belts. Therefore, this time the new Royal Oak Chronograph is launched. For watch fans, the range of choice is relatively large. Three stainless steel models include silver face, blue face, and black face, while rose gold models include blue face and brown face.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph was first introduced in 1997 and measures 39 mm. So this means that the 2017 Royal Oak Chronograph is exactly the 20th anniversary of the series. In 2012, Audemars Piguet increased the size of the Royal Oak Chronograph to 41 mm (three-pin Royal Oak also increased to 41 mm). After increasing the size, the dial and proportion of the Royal Oak Chronograph are more beautiful. After all, the 39 mm case plus the dial’s dial looks a bit cramped. The 2017 Royal Oak also maintained a caliber of 41.

Like the case, the new movement remains the same, using the Audemars Piguet 2385 self-winding chronograph movement, a cylindrical wheel chronograph movement. The new watch changes from the dial of the watch. Audemars Piguet increased the size of the chronograph dials on the new Royal Oak chronograph (3 o’clock and 9 o’clock), while using wider time scales, it also increased the amount of luminous coating. Then the AP mark at 12 o’clock also became larger.

Another big change is that the dial of all new Royal Oak chronographs is a two-tone combination. The color of the chronograph dial is different from that of the dial, forming a sharp contrast. The steel case version uses silver and black chronograph dials, and the rose gold version uses gold chronograph dials. Similarly, as far as we know, the new Royal Oak Chronograph sells for around 24,000 to 25,000 euros, the rose gold belt model is about 38,000 to 40,000 euros, and the all-gold model is 57,000 euros.
